@.nerds (/affectionate): tell me what linux distro to put on my old laptop and secondary desktop (in my dms or comments)

reward: i will start streaming again. because i'd rather stream from my bedroom so i can chill in bed, or from a secondary computer so i can do cpu-/gpu-heavy things on my main desktop while streaming.

context: the laptop is a 2014 lenovo (intel) and the desktop is a self built 2019 intel with an nvidia gtx 970. i have used windows since 1999, mac in school/college from 20122020, and linux on a virtual machine from 20172019. (yes, i am aware of the ways to get w11 or keep w10. i'd rather diversify my os usage)

priorities: firefox, obs, and mullvad vpn (/proton vpn).

secondary priorities: ease of download for programs (tf is a flatpack?) and gaming (steam, epic, itchio, flashpoint, direct download. single player>multiplayer).

if you have additional (relevant) questions before recommending, i'll get back to you on monday.

xoxo
