The morning mood was slightly better. Had a good candidate interview yesterday and was set to present an offer as a temp to hire. Just before noon I was called into a meeting with the new GM and HR person. I was told to cease search for an assistant until further notice. Then wanted to know why the previous managers in the position were able to do the job in 40 hrs while I hadn’t.

Yeah, they had an asst. But they don’t believe that,. I spoke with the previous COO who confirmed they did have assisted until my predecessor ran her off. I also know when I came onboard, I discovered this person did the bare minimum to get things done. There were many aspects of the position that wasn’t completed or done incorrectly. I had an accounting nightmare that took over a yr to clean up, but these people didn’t see that because they didn’t see what I had to do. I may pull all the day to prove it, but doubt it’ll help. And I would receive no additional pay increase. I won’t say I’m not replaceable because everyone is. What I will say it’ll take them awhile to find some at that pay rate and they may end up going through a few people and the learning curve. Coupled with the fact there’s still wrong that the acctg system was setup which also causes issues.

I also said yeah in a perfect world where everything I receive is correct and me.ets policy and procedures, I could do it in 40 hrs. However, nothing is ever perfect and much requires additional questions, manipulation and research of data and figuring out what needs added or omitted to match other data and all that takes time. Then you have additional requests for analysis and supporting statements to financial information. All this is more than just printing a report 🙄. I’m so beyond frustrated!!! I’ve updated my resume and submitted to a couple recruiters I’ve worked with in the past. Now I need to manifest my next opportunity
