Thank you everyone for the kind words if I wasn’t able to reply to you 💕 I’m feeling better at the moment! The year has been…yeesh. I wanted to provide a little update though if people were wondering. No photos this time apologies but it is still dark where I live and I’m just getting over sickness (even though I truly haven’t felt better mentally in a while). I just wanted to provide a couple recommendations as everyone here probably knows I love me a book/movie/tv show/etc. For books my favorite author has been Octavia E. Butler of course and anything written by her but especially her Parable duology. The other series I would recommend for everyone is the Broken Earth Trilogy by N.K. Jemisin. It’s magical and devastating but so worth it. Keep the index nearby with that first book though. Those might be things you’ve already read and if that’s the case you may like my first movie recommendation which is Phantom Thread from Paul Thomas Anderson. I finally watched that after years of having it on my watch lists and holy hell is it incredible. Absolutely fantastic and a gut punch at times. I of course LOVED the new Benoit Blanc movie with Wake Up, Dead Man. As someone with catholic trauma it was very healing. Last movie to recommend is Oh Hi! Weird movie? Yes! Great emotional journey? Unexpectedly yes! Also great performances from the leads and a really beautiful directing job. As far as tv shows go I would be remiss to mention Delicious in Dungeon as that was one of my faves. Animation, voice acting, and the story all hit! I also thoroughly enjoyed a k-drama, Business Proposal, although the end did feel rushed but that’s a pretty typical thought I have for most k-dramas. This was the first one I watched in years though and got me more interested in them which I appreciate. For music I’ll just recommend artists I’ve been enjoying because I tend to listen to all/most of their work if they are my faves and that includes Adela, Nemhasis, and PinkPantheress!
