A boat trip. When the whole world stays behind on the shore 🛶🌊
Yesterday, I headed out onto the water—not on a large excursion boat, but in a small, creaky rowboat. As we pulled away, the city suddenly felt far off. The cars, the rush, the daily tasks—everything was left behind on the shore.
I reached over the side—the water was cold, almost stinging. I cupped some in my hands and splashed it on my face. It gave me goosebumps, but it was so refreshing!
The sun began to set, turning the water to gold. Lying at the bottom of the boat, looking up at the sky, I thought about how little I truly need to be happy: just the gentle rocking of the waves and the silence.
We made our way back at twilight. I was soaked and shivering, but I couldn’t stop smiling.
Do you love being out on the water? 🌅🛶
