JOYFUL SUMMER MOMENT:

As a small pipsqueak myself, I've always loved small creatures! Two days ago, I was admiring this emerald-colored dragonfly, a female eastern pondhawk, and a HUGE horsefly started bothering me. The dragonfly looked at the situation, and in less than a second, intercepted the horsefly and landed back in front of me, showing off the catch!

My late aunt, a charming and adventurous redhead who really pulled off wearing the color green, always loved dragonflies. She often said she'll "come back" as a dragonfly from the other side and that we should smile and remember her when we see them outside. I never believed her words more than when I saw that flash of green lightning!
