hey guys.. This is probably TMI but this is my real life and wanted to let you know why I’ve been quiet. Something terrible happened over the weekend that I witness and went through. For those of you who really know me know I love animals. Well it was extremely hot over the weekend with a heat index of 108. My neighbors dog was accidentally left outside for two hours while they were not home. I loved that dog like she was my own and my neighbor is one of my best friends. So this hurt even more. When I went outside and saw her I knew right away something was wrong. I immediately got her in my house and attempted to cool her down with cold wet towels because she was having a heat stroke. Guys it was awful to see. While I was doing this I called my neighbor over and over until she answered and she told me to bring her to the emergency vet. This dog is 130lbs and she could not walk at all but we managed to get her in the car. We got her to the vet and she passed away due to her core temp being way too high. 😭😭 I only wish I could have saved her. I’ve been struggling with that but my neighbor is extremely grateful I was there when I was and gave her a chance at surviving. Ugh it was awful to see her struggling the way she was but here we are it’s a new day and I was able to sleep better last night. Thanks for letting me share my experience.
